| And hes back, from outter space! Johnny is back...but on his trip to outter space, he got brain damage. I finally got the body kit on, and the spray done. Set me back a total of $21000...a hell of alot :P but worth it, ill post some pics ASAP :D |

Uh...I'm guessing that's a typo. Would you mean $2100? Because unless you got the car sprayed in 24ct gold, you got ripped off. Either that or the bodykit was made from carbon fibre. LOL.

| no, no typo. 21000. I had a 3 colour pearl paint with custom made vynals. The vynal alone was $4000 because i had to have it custom built...and it was a bear metal spray. the paint job was around $10000 because i made them re-do it 2ce because they ****ed it up the first time, so thats why it was so expensive. |

Holy CRAP! Though if they screwed it up, why didn't they re-do it free of charge? It's not your fault they screwed it up, so why should you have to pay?
$21,000...that's worth more than 5 times what the car is worth. Now I'm REALLY hanging out for the photos of it. Must have come up a treat. Gotta be the most expensive paint job in Albury though :) |

| They didnt really screw it up that badly, just a few spots where i wasnt happy with it, so i had them re-do those spots...blah blah blah u get it. Plus most of it was the vynals...they were self designed and expensive as hell |

@lolo, if they are 15x7 then consider them sold. Just have a look at them and see what they are, they should have it stamped onto the rim around the hub somewhere. The only reason I want the real ones and not the dodgy 15x6 is that I wanna throw 225 tyres on there, they tend to roll off 6" wide rims.
What size tyres are on it at the moment? I'm guessing something either 205 or 215?
As for the respray, trizo, if it's going to be metallic black I hope you've managed to get each and every little dint out of the panels. There's no colour that shows up dints like metallic black.

| Mate dunno what size the tyres are atm but the ones I got them with were actually quite fat, and I also have a set of black ceptors and I know the black ones are more narrow than these so Im 99% sure these are 15x7, I'll check the tyres 2morro, also might be about six weeks till I swap the rims cos i'll know in 2 weeks if Ive got the job and then i'll hafta save a bit, hope that aint a problem, by the way the tyres atm are Goodyear Ducaro GA for large cars, if thats any help... |

Hey guys, I'm back, sorry for going AWOL on you all...seems like I missed a bit over the last few days. Four fun filled days of helping my Girlfriend move house and settle in. Plus I'm sick as a dog, so that didn't help. No net access at her place either so I missed the forum badly :(
With those rims/tyres lolo, let me know when you're ready to part with them, and I'll come and get them, there's no real rush on them, just when you're ready. Also when do you think that spare car will rock up? I need to replace the front brake calipers on mine (stupid bleed nipples have snapped off), so they would be good to get.
So johnny, you're going to post up pictures of this paintjob where? I've been trying to get my head around how you managed to spend $21k on paint and vinyls, I've gotta see it to fully appreciate it. |

@mouce bad news.... my rims are silver but they are stamped with an ugly 15x6 but I'll try to source some cheap 15x7's for you as for the car I'm starting my new job next week so give me 3 weeks to pay off my debts and you can have the front calipers and anything else you want.
Also upgradded to an L2 cluster and it was a simple job of undoing 4 yes FOUR bolts unplugging the wires from the cluster surround unit where you have the wiper control etc, and swapping it with the L2...didnt even need a manual and also didnt need to solder anything.....
ALSO Im organising a Dyno Day... Speedwell are getting a Dyno mid September and Nick said I can organise a dyno day for VNCOMMODORE.COM and boostclub.com etc members so for a relatively small fee, you guys can get a readout of what your car does grab a snag etc... should be good, will update as time goes |

| The 21k wasnt spent on just paintwork, you gotta understand that the vynal i had my gf design was so detailed and eloborate, plus it had over 15 diff3rent colours in it...so most was spent on 2 of those plus the hood vynal...it was a hell of a big job to ask |

lolo, you don't have to go to the trouble of finding 15x7's for me, but thanks for the offer anyway. Really ****s me when people spray the 15x6 ones silver, if they want silver, they should just get the REAL 'ceptors and not fake it. Kinda like all those stock VL's running around with the 'turbo' badge stuck on the back (a $3 cosmetic change is no substitute).
I'll be able to find some, it's not too much hassle, thanks for taking the time to check the rims for me though.
Since the vinyl cost you $4k, did you consider getting a custom air-brush done rather than a sticker? 15 different colours??? DAMN! This thing keeps sounding wilder and wilder. Going to be interesting. |

| Lol, the photos are being pro taken, because i dont trust my camera to capture its brilliance. But i have air brushing dont on the hood, and vynals on the side. I dont like air brush on the side, it looks weird. I just had all the wiring re-done in the car...the guy i bought it off was a freak of nature and installed his sound system himself, and ****ed the wiring up |

Pro photos? That'll set you back a fair bit...if you were willing to drive down to Melbourne I'd take them for you with my camera (Canon EOS 300D)...but with fuel prices the way they are, getting a pro to do them would cost about the same LOL.
Now we find out that you have airbrushing on it too...what else do you have as a surprise for us?
Glad to hear you got the wiring re-done, nothing worse than dangerous wiring. A good backyard install can be just as neat, tidy and safe as a professional job, but most people don't put the time into getting it right. Sounds like this was just a nightmare waiting to happen. |

| I got nothing against hippies, hell some of my best m8s do pot, but this guy was a complete moron, anyone who drives at 175 past a school while high as a kite, is in my ****ty books, this guy was SO high when he tore my car apart AFTER id paid for it! that he passed out, burned himself on the engine block that was so hot it melted the flesh because he ****ed the radiator because he didnt know how to fix it, WHILST being high. So while i should have specified that my insult was only directed at him, i have every right to describe the S.O.B however i please |
