hi guys im not sure if im alowed to talk bout this but i just had to tell some1 that i got my engine reoved all by myself with no help at all now u can tell me im good.hehe! all i did was un hook everything that was atached to the engine and body and everything that is atached to the transmission after getting all that done i removed the frame that holds the engine with a normal trolley jack i used it to hold the enhinne then i unbolted the 4 bots after that i lowered it abit then presto saw the engine coming down i then jacked the car up really high and removed the front suspension bolts then lowered the jack abit more by now the engine was completely down i tryed to pull it out but cuoldnt so i sat there for like half an hour thinking how on earth can i get this engine to come out i then thought bout my tow bar on me other car. hmmmm so i parked my car infront of the engine hoooked it up with towbar with the jack still holding the engine up in the air i then got in the car n slowly towed it dragged it out slowly and there we go presto got a engine out peacefully besides all that i forgot to ddrain all the oil so i got oil all over the ground coming out of the sump. lol but just wanted to tell ya that i did it and very happy bout it. neva thought in the world i cuold pull a motor out all by myself. it shows that u dont have to be strong to do a big job. thats all i wanted to say
lol mild50 as u know that vn is a wreck so i thought i cuold just take it out for som experience and mayb sell it in the future as im selling the body tomorow or the next day. i thought if i cuoldnt do it half way wouldnt matter cos ill just sell it how eva i left it but luckily i got it out in peace but alot of mess. :) b4dn xxxx
sweet good job m8 this is how I learnt on my vn (with a wreak in the shed) there is nothing more satisfying than doing a job on your own 4 the first time and actualy getting it rigth! Your method of engine removale is a bit xtreme but hey what evr works!! c ya smarter than your average bear! lol
