Hi guys,

Has anyone tried the new Shell V-Power and V-Power racing yet?
How do you find it? Does it make a difference?

V-Power is a replacement for Optimax, I'm currently in the process of product testing it.

If you hunt around on the forum, you'll find that I really did love the old Optimax that they had, as for the new V-power...dunno, I'm still on my first tank as I haven't been driving much lately. Give me a few weeks and I'll let you know what the figures say though.

I believe (and please correct me if I'm wrong), but the V-Power racing is a 100RON E5 fuel...and as such I refuse to use it. My advice to people is avoid any fuel with any ethanol in it, especially if you've got a car that's more than 10 years old. Not because it 'eats' fuel lines (supposedly), but because ethanol is a cleaning agent it dislodges all the crud from the bottom of the tank and you can end up with stuffed fuel lines like that. Also...ethanol is hydrophilic, so if it sits in the tank for too long, you'll find that you've got a very 'wet' fuel...needless to say that's not great for your car either.
