with my vn it always has the engine warning on and running crap.
After doing the diagnostic check it first came up with a code 13 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit (open circuit), so after replacng that the warning light still continued to stay on.
Then after resetting the ECU it then came up as a code 42 - Electronic spark timing (EST) circuit, then a qualified holden workshop said that the ecu must have a problem so i then replaced it with a reco'ed ECU, then i were happy it ran excellent for about 10 minutes but then the engine light came back on and it ran **** again, when i say **** i mean it won't do skids, splutters when you accellerate, and sometimes stalls. So i went to an Autopro store and bought new leads, and spark plugs, after installing them i then noticed a bit of a ticking from the injecters so i replaced the with a bigger fuel rail i had and other injecters. it now runs without spluttering but still doesn't have full power and then engine light still comes on with a code 42, what else can i replace that's connected with that circuit?

Trizo covered pretty well all of the bases there. The things worth looking at (and in the order from most likely to least likely):

Reset the ECU (if by some chance you changed it, or even when you changed the plugs and leads, and you DIDN'T reset the ECU, do it, there's a how-to if you're not sure how to do it)
Coil pack,
Ignition control module (the flat slab thing that is under the coil packs)
Fuel filter (a blocked or dirty fuel filter will cause the fuel pressure to be low)
Cylinder compression (do a compression test on each cylinder it may turn out that you've got a burnt valve or worse)
Oxygen Sensor (the thing that looks like a spark plug screwed into the passenger side exhaust manifold)
Fuel Pressure Regulator (the strange round thing at the back end of the drivers side fuel rail)
Crank Angle Sensor (I wouldn't have thought it likely, but it's worth looking into)

What fuel rail did you replace it with? You say you had a 'bigger' one, which one was it? Also, what are the injectors from? It could be that the fuel rail is too big and the pressure is too low, that would cause all sorts of problems.

And Trizo is bang on with the comment about the injectors. They are MEANT to tick. They aren't meant to be deafening or anything, but they are meant to tick, it's just the way they work.

As for doing skids, I certainly hope you're not doing them, or trying to do them, on public streets (and yes, deserted Bunnings carparks are technically public streets). Burnouts, drifting, racing, and 'performance' runs should be kept to private areas and/or controlled environments (competitions and the like). Being a 13 year old, I hope that you do keep it on private land anyway.

Hey...a car 'club' based here in Melbourne used to use Bunnings carparks for illegal burnout competitions at 2AM. Of course they didn't realise that just because they weren't on the roads didn't mean they weren't still on land governed by the relevant Australian and State road laws. In one 'meet' more than 50 cars got a nice yellow sticker on the windscreen, and half the drivers lost their licences. Turns out that an undercover cop went along, and stood there filming it all (it's not uncommon for someone to film, so no one asked questions)...

Speeding (they are all either 10 or 5kph zones), reckless driving, willfully creating excess noise/smoke, willfull property damage (someone ploughed into a lightpole), driving without a seatbelt and driving an unroadworthy vehicle were the main charges laid against people.

That was all a few years ago now, but the same laws apply.
