Taking a sticky beak around ebay I notice that people are selling aldl data links for the VN ECU. Now being of an electrical bent, building such a thing would not be too hard. Sourcing the plug on the other hand might be a bit tricky. Does anyone know of a good source for these plugs.

Theres a comprehensive thread on Justcommodores about how to make your own. I PM'd a guy for him to make me one, but he never replied :(

| I'm working on one at the moment, based on the stuff on JustCommodores. I'll post up when I've got it made. Only problem is that it might take me a week or two to get around to it because of the amount of homework my lecturers have decided to dump on me. |

I am going to knock one up (should be a POP) but as I have no laptop I am going to build a handheld device with a readout. Would anyone be interested in such a device, if so what would you want it to do?

| I have not designed it yet. I am thinking of a litte box with an LCD screen. You can scroll through the various values and get a graph of past history. I was going to make one for myself and see if others wanted it. It would not be as useful as winALDL but I don't own a laptop. I would not see this thing costing more that $100 in parts. |

VN/VP -> serial $30 VN/VP -> usb $50 (above two work with winALDL, freeware) VR/VS/VT -> usb $70 (works with the evaluation copy of efilive 4, valid till december)
plus $5 postage in Aus.
Email michaelgw@gmail.com and I will swap my bank details for your postal address.
Also if you want to build your own serial version I can help out as best I can. The USB version I have spent a lot of time designing so I will keep that one to myself and anyway it is all surface mount stuff (components half the size of a grain of rice) so it is very hard to solder.
