well, it all depends on how much you want to spend. If your budget concious, you can just buy lower springs. Get either, king, lovell or pedders(they are all good). Lovell do some good springs on ebay for bout $200. But, if you want to do it properly, you will want to get lowered shocks and struts as well(again, ebay). |

Don't know who told you $1800, because they were seriously yanking your chain.
Whiteline do a really nice kit that is about $1300 for springs, shocks, struts and a whole lot of other things (sway bar, panhard rod...)
It is possible to drop the VN 25mm without changing the shocks/struts (Holden option FE2 used the same as the standard setup), to drop it any more than 25mm, you'll need new shocks and struts to go with the lower springs, also an adjustable pan hard rod is almost a must. |

Unless you're trying to go lower than ultra-low king springs is there any point getting springs reset?
You can do the entire rear suspension yourself in an afternoon (provided you know which end of a socket to put on the nuts :)) The front takes a bit more time, and a few funkier tools, but it's still possible to do it yourself. Just keep in mind that as soon as you're done the first place you should go is the local tyre joint so they can do a wheel alignment for you. |
