The L2 cluster is a straight swap, so long as it came from another VN. If you want to go to all the trouble of putting in another plug, and a stack of switches the L3 (calais) cluster can go in as well...but I've never seen the point in going that far.
The L2 should be fine, it's cheaper and easier than the L3. Before you put it in though, check out the condition of the solder joints on the back of it, if they are a little dry and cracked give them a touch up, otherwise you'll spend the rest of your time with the VN tapping the dash in the mornings to get it to work. |

Got no idea, have a look around, and if you're not happy with the price they give you, don't pay it. Simple as that. Go to somewhere like pinch-a-part and see what they can do for you.

| Just did the same thing, got a L2 cluster from a wrecker for $70 and then swopped the speedo part over from my L1 cluster to the L2 cluster (4 screws behind - check Gregory's) so as to keep the same mileage, took about an hour, looks much better, and I am surprised at how low the car revs while cruisin around, great cheap mod |

| Doesn't take much to reset the odometer on the new cluster so that it matches the distance you've already done. But swapping them over would work just as well. 100kph @ less than 2000rpm, gotta love a big lazy V6 motor. |

Pick a part are a friggin rip if u want anything for the front of ur car!!!!, geuss cause in high demand for people that dont know theyre not supposed to drive into sh!t.
I needed a front grill, just a standard cheese grater one, $37!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And a right hand side indicator assembly,$27!!!!!!!!!!!!
But on the good side the instrument clusters are only $47. |

If you've got just a standard execudore then you'll need to get more than just the cluster...you'll also need to get the switches that go on the left hand side (I think it's the left) of the instrument cluster, the extra connector and all the wiring to go with it. Unless you've already lucked out and you have the extra connector in the dash with it all wired up, It'll take a bit of work, but it's a fairly common conversion, and there's plenty of how-to threads around (mainly on other forums). That said...there's a few people on here (Timmy_Tam in particular) who has a lot of recent experience with working behind their dash.
A level 2 cluster is just a straight swap...that would give you a tacho, but not the LCD panels...cheaper and easier to do as all you need to do is pull the old cluster out and pop the new one in. |

Yeah...as far as I know the VP one is a straight swap...the only time you ever get problems is if you try using one from a VR, they tend to smoke.
You'll enjoy having the tacho no doubt. |
