yeh i've got the speaker pods on my doors, there pritty easy to install, they fit straight on, all you have to do is hack at the door trims to put the speaker through, but make sure you only buy 6" speakers to go in them or otherwise you have to do even more hacking and ****ing arround to fit even 6.5"'s in.

and you cant just go out and get the VR\VS door trims as the have the air vents cut out of the top of them so you have to use either your original ones or buy some more Vn\Vp ones.

But ths is well worth it theres heaps beter sound from them,
oh and buy the way i've put Kenwood 4"'s in the dash and they go nuts my xplode 6x9's distort before they do.

have fun, sound cool its well worth it.

A few years ago I had some 4inch 3ways that were an awesome speaker for the factory front location and had the advantage of being hidden.

Can't seem to find them nowadays though - anyone know of 4inch 3ways on the market? Have to admit I can't personally justify upgrading to a 6inch (cost and effort vs increase performance).

Good set of 4" splits up front will sound damn nice. Don't know that I have ever seen 4" 3-way coax speakers though.

4" cones backed up with 1" tweeters provide a really nice sound stage in the front, bass can come from the rear so 6" or 6.5" 3-ways in the back and a sub or two in the boot. Set that up properly, and it'd sound great.

Agree whole heartedly with that post, mouce.

Definately owned some 4inch threeways though... Pioneer IIRC.

Well im installing 6" into the front of the vn even bought the Vs pod inserts its a pain but with a few little adjustments it will be worth it as the front
speakers in the dash arent hooked up pain in a** vs
quality sound i say its worth the hassle.
