That fuel tank, that's the 85L one isn't it? With the straps? If so...consider it mine. We'll work out the details and I'll come and get it.
If it's missing the straps though...it could be a bit tough, and if it's the 65L tank, I've already got one of them ;) |

A public forum is not the place to discuss the online conduct of other members. If you have any concerns about any members please PM me or another member of the administration.
That said, the issue you have raised has been dealt with.
Since you sound like you'll be rocking up on the 21st (Watsonia Train Station), I'll take it off your hands then. Good thing my boot is still empty huh?
Anyway...if it is the small one then I can use that for the 'project' that I'm working on (it's all listed a few pages back).
Also, Johnny, what instruments are you after for $8000? Sounds like a lot of sound gear. |

Also...when are you going to get around to posting pics of this nice shiny car with the sexy paint work? So far we've heard all the discriptions, but seen no pics...where are they? |

From what I know, the tank, the straps and the sender are all coming my way (correct me if I'm wrong LOLO). And as far as I know, that's all that needs changing. Hell...let's face it...if I need to get something else, I'll get it, I'm getting all the big bits for free ;)
And I'm going to do 2 how-to articles on this one. How-to clean your fuel tank and how-to swap your fuel tank. Full pictures, and lots of instructions. Anyone interested in those?
Now triz...I know you're plastered, and there's nothing wrong with that. But there is a line between personal opinion and open abuse. There is no problem with expressing personal opinion so long as it is done in a civil manner. It is also important to realise that other people may not agree with your opinion, if this happens, it does not mean that either one of you is right or wrong. And that was the problem that occured. I'm all for the free exchange of ideas and opinions, but I won't stand for people being abused for expressing them. That's when I (or another member of the administration) will step in. |

LOL at being a VNaholic, I like that. Should get t-shirts made up :)
As for what happened in the other thread LOLO, I know you weren't getting frustrated and you were just trying to clear the air, to be honest I probably would have tried something similar but you beat me too it. In the end I figured the best thing to do was lock it, so that's what I did.
I can't wait to get my hands on this tank, it's going to be great. 500-600km around town. I'll only have to fill up every couple of weeks...god it's going to be good. Out on the open road, I've got it worked out that I should be able to hit about 1100-1200km on one tank. That's not a bad cruising range.
Also, Johnny, if you haven't got the pics by Christmas, let me know and I'll take them on my way past (I go up to Mt Beauty every Christmas), it's not a huge detour to front up at your place and take some shots of your baby. |

| I normally go up to Mt Beauty on the first day of school holidays (about the 20th of December), and don't head back until early January, so we'll work something out. Though this year might be a tad different, because I'm not sure what I'm doing with a job and all that, because hopefully I'll have a full time job by then. |

Yep, you're crazy, but then again you might fall so madly in love with your execudore, that you decide to go completely nuts with that and forget about going to the V8.
Either way, should be an awesome project. |

I don't blame you, I plan on doing something crazy like that one day myself. I've got some plans for a VG ute actually. A VG ute with a fully worked V8 with a cute little supercharger sticking out of the bonnet. I'd like to have something around 600rwkw, and I'm undecided about NOS. I'm tempted to go for a full direct injection NOS system on it...well...you get the idea.
It's a plan, but I can't see it happening for a while. What is more urgent is getting the VN safe on the roads again, the suspension is about 4 weeks away ;)

With how it's cornering at the moment anyone would think I had ripped the shocks out. And the clunking...holy crap...at the apex of every corner the whole front end shifts about 1" to the outside of the corner as the bushes move around. Having no suspension and just riding on the bump stops might be smoother and safer LOL.
What was going on with the cooling system? Blocked radiator, blown water pump or just a stuffed thermostat? |

who knows ken, who knows... my nose knows. Im not entirely sure, could be the fact its only filled with water :P ive been lazy and havnt re-filled it with coolant from the last cooling system drain :P
its running on plain ol tap water (im aware thats terrible for the car) but it doesnt go straight to hot, its fine when ur moving, but if u sit at light for AAAAAAAAGES it goes to the top quite steadily... so im thinking a radiator fan... |

Yeah, okay, tap water won't be doing you ANY favours. Adding the coolant raises the boiling point of the 'water' to about 120 degrees (by the time you allow for the pressure and the coolant it's up by about that much).
Running pure water well...even with the pressure will boil at about 105 degrees. So you're going to have some SERIOUS temperature issues unless you run coolant in it.
And what do you mean you're thinking of a radiator fan? You haven't got the factory thermo fan? |

Get your hands on a new thermo-fan for your baby and I think you'll find that she runs a whole lot better with a working fan.
That, and some real coolant. |
