my 5lt v8 vn keeps cutting out after a few days and sometimes impossible to restart. parts have been replaced and ive been told it might be in the lumes somewhere, can some1 help me

What parts have been replaced? Also, when you say it's impossible to start, what do you have to do to get it going again, just keep cranking it over or do you have to wait for a couple of hours?

Something worth thinking about, if you have an immobiliser fitted, is it might be killing the engine while you're driving. I had that happen to me in my V6, the immobiliser would kill the engine (because of a dodgy connection when it was fitted), and I couldn't start it again until I punched several parts of the engine. It could just be a dodgy connection somewhere (a nightmare to track down) in the immobiliser circuit.

Also, a simple thing to check would be all your earth straps, from engine to chasis, and from body to battery.

its got no immolilizer,. the spark plugs, distributer, computer, strter motor have all been replaced.
sometimes the car cranks over after it cuts out. once when it was crancked over it backed fired and split the muffler.
i dunno if this helps
