Understeer is when the driver is scared.

| yeah, I've been told the manual is so much better than the auto. Would love to convert mine. My mate has a manual v6 VN, he says he can smoke some 5l engines, dunno how true it is but. |

A V6 5spd manual vn can blow a auto vn 5lt if its stock a vn V6 is equal to a vn V8 up to 140 then the 8 will pull away
i hate auto's the manual is so much of a difference so much more power more controle sick for burnouts and drifting . autos are slugish they dont pull **** gear changes always need oil i hate vn autos. but am curios to see what a b&m shifter can do for it |

your modified auto will blow a stock manual .if i pump the same amount of money into my manual im sure it will out perform the auto with the rite driver . to drive an auto requires no skill |

i've got an auto sedan (4sale) and a manual station wagon.
i bought the wagon as a daily while i do up my torana.
i was suprised about how well it went so have decided to keep it.
once i finish the torrie i'll proberbly keep the wagon as a daily as it does smoke the 304 autos. then i'll use the torrie on the weekends when i really want some fun |

lol @aussie you have been converted!! Dont get me wrong at all I love a manual gear box!! But in the vn I love the auto's y u ask ,, I realy dont know!! This might hurt a few users but as crap as this sounds I actualy like a manual in a ford ea , The engine response is somthing all on it own, but thats as far as I'll go on that subject ! lol .
The vn has that much torque , I find that the way IK drive a man, I would be killing gearbox's! ( remember I have done quite a bit of time in jail 4 driving , and they were all manual's) so thats y I love my auto!! Tricked g/b or not I'm a lazy driver now! peace out! |

I just find you get better control over a manual, and I think driving auto's are too slack, I prefer keeping busy.

| No doubt i would much rather the manual for their durability, minimum drivetrain loss and the ability to select what gear and when, but its a sad fact that the automatic commodore is quicker than the manual to 100. |

| Depends whose driving, alot of people out there cant drive manuals for sh*t and most of them get the crap start and changes versus the small minority that can get the maximum out of the manual. auto is still quicker to 100 but the manual is more fun and you can do more |

| lol, im not saying the manual is slower, if anything the fact is that you can choose what revs to take off with and power shift throguh gears but the auto when driven properly is just as quick. |
