i have no license at the moment and my car is in pieces(interior) cause of respray, so all i can do is start my car in the morning in the driveway and hear it run which is does successfully, the past few days, i start it in the morning, the engine comes on for one minute or not even and then dies again if u touch accelerator or not, what the hell is with all these V6 engines and starting in the morning and then die'ng again???? (my friends have this problem to)

anyone also know how to make the v6 not smell like unburnt fuel and running so rich when idling or driving???????

The smell you're getting could be a faulty catalytic converter. Holbitz in West Heidelberg have got them for about $70 second hand. Sure as hell beats paying a few hundred for a new one.

As to the engine dying after a minute or two, I've had that happen twice: once, dead fuel pump. second time, my immobiliser cut in whilst I was driving because of a loose connection, it just crippled the coil packs. So check out the coil packs, if any more than 2 cylinders are missing they will tend to cut out. they can run on three cylinders, but it's not pretty.

naa naa naa hows this, my catalitic convertor is empty, i got sick of bieng stuck at traffic lights, hearing all the **** in there loosen up and rattle loud, so i took it out, emptied it, now its sort of free flow(in a way) and yes there is nuthing for the exhuast to baffle out smell, this smell i have is a raw pure fuel(petrol) smell and i can't find no leak at all, i think my fuel pump is on its way out, or could it be that fuel regulator? all i know is that in the morning when i start it, it eill crack, turn on for 1 second, engine cuts out, then i hear the return of the fuel in fuel tank, and fuel pump makes a draining noise sort of, but delivers fuel as it would work normally?!? dunno

hey if it is conkin out when u start it dude could have a lazy fuel pump or wrong fuel pressure? if yor smellin raw fuel then its probably floodin aye. your best bet is to get it plugged up to diagnostics, find out your exact air/fuel ratios ect.
