hey guys and ladies got a small problem with water in my oil! I removed my valley cover and wen I lifted it thinkin all the wateer was out I tilted it bak the wrong way (ooopppsss!!! slipped)water run outa the water jaket and into the blok (oooppppssss!!again)now I'm guessing that I'll have 2 drop the oil but will that get the water outa my engine?wen I started it up 2 c if it was ok it was rough as guts and it had blak smoke cumming outa the exauhst!!any1 had this problem b4 ideas would b a big helpche!
ok here's the answer so 4get every thing I winged about the rought idle and blak smoke was due 2 my drunken laziness wen puttind the t/b bak (i didnt put the map sensor hose bak on duh!)right now that fixed my det sensor had cum loose so a quik plun in and presto running like a dream!
now water in my engine oil was a tricky 1 but did sum reading and asking around and heres wat I came up with!put a real thin engine oil in (wat ever u do dont drive around on your motor wont last)that said drop your old oil and place plug in sump then refill with the thin oil (motor oil of course)run the engine at a steady idle for any were from 10-15 min (I know its not good 2 prolong the revving of a vn but)then switch of and drain as b4 you will notice all the crap (and water) disperse itself quit nicley change filter and of u go there is no garantee that the water will b all gone but the fine oil mix dont miss much:)
NOTE - wen doing 1rst oil drop leave the orig oil filter in un till dropp ing the 2nd lot of oil.also this can work a little 2 well on older cars as cars over the 300 000 km mark will tend 2 start 2leak as the fine oil will wash out any soot or gunk that was mab stopping it in the 1rst place (heads ect...) so there u go killed a hole flok of birds with 1 vn book lol...
p.s I got a little inpatient so I worked it out my self :P but any other ways of dispersing water from your oil would b great che guys TRIZO;P.
Yeah...changing the oil is about the only way to really get rid of it, but running either a commercially available engine flush, or some diesel through with the 'flush' oil would really help make sure you get it all out.
