when trying to remove the spark plug wire from the old ones still in the engine, do u pull on the metal cover thing, its just really tight and i dont want to wreak anything.

Push the metal cover down a bit and wiggle the actual rubber boot, if the boott doesnt move, give the boot a twist to break the seal it has on the spark plug.

Dont pull on the leads themselves

It's normally best to avoid twisting them if you can help it, by twisting it it's quite easy to introduce micro-cracks to the ceramic part of the plug. Needless to say this isn't a good thing.

If you plan on replacing the plugs then a bit of a twist is okay, but otherwise just stick with pulling.
