My rear brake lights are being annoying and only sometimes working when im driving, i can tell cause i can see the light through the little hole in the parcel shelf light and have gotten my mates to check, the park lights still work so there must be a loose connection if they are working sometimes.

if i jolt the car by turning really hard it makes them work for a bit again, but then they will just fade out.

There's a chance that the lights have at some point had water in there...if that's the case there's a good chance that the contacts have corroded.

Check the earths.

Something you'll also need to check is the condition of the brake light switch. If the contacts of the switch have crapped themselves you'll need to replace the switch.

They don't come on when the car turns, it just makes them work again. It could be as simple as the connection to the brake light switch just moves a little and works for a while before shaking free again.

Ditto the ones in the light assemblies, but to have them all pack up like that I'd say that the light switch itself is more than likely the culprit.

Near the pivot bolt on the brake pedal.
