Hi guys,
thanks for your help with my last question, it has come time to lower my 6cyl vn, checked the king springs catalogue and noticed v6 and v8 vn's have different front lowered spring no. looked on ebay an found ppl selling springs from a v8, just wondering if anyone knows whether the springs will fit into a v6? Monroe list the v6 and v8 as having the same struts, any ideas on whether i'll just get a stiffer ride, or will it throw out the suspension geometry??
Thanks Guys

mine has adjustable strut towers in my V6 for the camber and when i took out my super low springs to get a RWC i had to turn them around 180 degrees.
How low do you plan on having your ride? |

| they will fit, only difference is that teh v8 springs (front) wont compress as much as the V6 ones, due to the v6 engines weighing less. If you put v8 springs in a v6 it will just sit higher and be allot stiffer. |

| just out of interest leebo, wat strut tops have you got in your car??? I'm tossing up between nolathane and fulcrum. Haven't really used nolathane before so not sure if the bushings are up to the challenge of aggresive driving?? |

sorry man i have no idea they came with the car. i have no idea how the ranking of the springs work either, like for example i have king springs low all round and it sit's about 150-200mm or more.
like there's super low which is higher than ultra low which confuses the hell out of me and you get to the point where the springs are so short that they may as well be cut.
i had some pedders reds in the front of my car when i brought it and man did that sit low or what.
are you having you car legal (100mm) or lower cos that will depend on weather you even need adjustable stut towers |

yeh unless you go stupidly low or would like the advantages of adjustment for some reason, there shouldnt really be any great need for adjustable strut tops.

id say so, it wouldn't be as low as they would be in a V8, so id say the height would be between the v6 super lows and the v8 super super lows (ultra lows) although if you get adjustable strut tops that adds about 5 mm? i think to the over all height |
