Hi guys!
Got a question for my tech savvy friends. I have been reading up on centrifugal supercharging of the 3800 motor. I ahve been impressed with some of the figures. Has anyone got any ideas about how you could reduce the classic whine of one of these suckers?

do you just want go about your bussiness quietly without a big whine from it?

good choice in supercharging by the way the 3800 takes it much better than a turbo and you don't have to cut away the front of the car.

I'll show you the Rick James cell. It's superfreaky!.

Gday champ! Yeah that is pretty much the case leebo. I am keen to go this option as i have been impressed by the multiple sources i have read regarding charging the old 3800. Supercharging at 9 psi would bring mine in at between 185-210kw at the rear wheels. It is the same kit that they used on the project seagull in Street Commodores Magazine. My only concern is the whine. Im after ideas to reduce this, and i would thoroughly appreciate and value any suggestion the team have on here.

I want it to stay subtle on the road, and then i want something i can unleash at the drag strip. The silent assasin! lol. Traffic lights are no good for a forced induction car because just when the fun begins you have your foot on the brake. We have to behave on the road buddy. Too much can go wrong on the road young brother. Kids playing in the area, ball goes on the road, and as you know, the beloved VN doesnt stop too well at the best of times. Its not worth it. Take it to a track, and that way you get it out of your system. A friend of mine has a BMW M3 convertable and he takes his on track days. He loves it, and he says he gets it all out of his system. Hope you take my old man's advice! Safe driving!

yeah that's exactly right you gotta do it on the stip and have fun there cos your's being a V6 you know (unless u have upgraded your brakes) that she's not gona stop from the speeds that supercharger will get u up 2.

Also in having crappy brakes stops my from going fast so it's kind of good in that way lol
