Starting in the driveway

Hi, I have a 1990 VN Calais it runs perfect when at normal operating temp but before it gets there its idle is very low and when stopping at an intersection it wil stall and will not start for a couple of minutes. but it starts first time everytime an idles fine in park . can anyone please help?????

| try cleaning out your idle air control motor by spraying carby cleaner inside the throttle body (theres a little hole inside the throttle body which leads to the idle control motor, use a small hose on the end of the carby cleaner can to reach it) |

I had a simular issue, but it was 1 of the coil packs. When it was cold, car ran great, but with a bit of temperature it would stall at the lights and I would have to wait for a few minutes.
Try the suggestion from Nodg first and see how you go.

| i did what David did cos i had a prob with misfiring and stalling put in a VS coil pack to fix it and now it runs sweet but try nodg first. |
I'll show you the Rick James cell. It's superfreaky!. |

You may also have a problem with a TPS.
Mine was doing that, I replaced the TPS, and it worked wonders. Car runs the way it used to :D |
