can someone give me an outline of what i have to change on the instrument cluster to make it work with mine and how to wire it up. i know theres a bit on here about it already but just not sure how much it changes it bein from a v8

ok from 6 to 8 I realy cant help you there but you never know someone here might be able to, my advice and this is what me myself would do (only cause electrics do my head in) is find a sparky that is right on par with holdens ( preferably a mobile lecky) that can come in and do the job with out umming and rrr ing... I honestly couldnt say how hard a job it would be as never done it myself nor do I intend to , but as I said if yo can find the right lecky to do the job it might be worth your while rather than ripping your dash apart and then trying to jigsaw it all together again (god knows I sure as hell wouldnt want to lol) just a thought, the dash is a real bitch to get out and back in also! |

| And as far as I know the cluster should plug in and work the only thing is you will have no analog display, unless you get the wiring done. |

Here is a quick how to buddy - http://www.vncommodore.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1974
Just another thing I dont think I mentioned was that you will need to get your tacho modded to suit the V6 signal. This can be done by an auto electrician that has had a bit to do with instrumentation. When I was looking into doing mine I had a V8 Stato dash that I was quoted between 50 and 100 dollars to do the mod on. |
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared. |
