i had someone tell me that my hose running from my radiator to the top of my engine (on the left side) isnt letting any water thru. can anyone suggest why this might be doing this or if it is even a reason for concern. just for the record withing the last 6 months, its had a brand new thermostat, water pump, and had a full clean out of the radiator. also would this create a problem if i were to drive the car???

huh not letting water through? so that would mean that you can not drive your car cause it overheats and most probabley has cracked head gaskets..? I,m not sure who the peanut is telling you this but basically the car would be undriveble and all sorts of problems would occur.. the only thing I can think of , is that the thermostat was put in upside down, and even then I'm not sure that is possible. That is of course water is not getting through, wich I find hard to believe... |

yeah i dont really no much about this type of thing so i thought id ask. i can still drive the car, its still running perfectly (misfiring a little but thats normal as it needs tuning). so there's a BIG possibility that the person telling me this is a ****er who doesnt no what he's on about and not to worry!?

That's not a water problem them.
It wouldn't have just BLOWN up.
They keep running until they're turned off, then they just sieze up and won't start again.

| hey guys we found out what happened. i dropped a conrod. Also found out what the problem with the hoses was. Because my radiator was so full of crap before i had it done, the hoses had sucked some of the crap outta it with some going in the block. gotta a new motor for it now, brought a mates vn calais for 1500. the motor is a v8 and has only done 98,000. |
