well, i had a series one vn and i put a series 2 engine in it, but the series 2 computer that i had was an auto, and the seies 1 computer mad it run terrible.
i ran with the auto computer for a while, using heaps of fuel, having a rev limiter like 400 rpm lower and it spitting terribly after a long run.
working at a commodore wrecker i finally scratched up a series 2 manual computer (wasnt hard to find just am lazy lol)
it has delco 808 remanufactured stamped on it, and was remanufactured in 1996.
After putting the computer in and ressetting it, i found my car alot smoother, having auscar extracters and really open exhaust i used to have alot of back fire and suck back, but the new computer has stopped all that, and it really gets moving now. Like spinning into third at 100 and still spinning till bout 130.
does anyone have any info on these computers? are they remapped aswell?
dave
