Yeah, it can be done, and there's a few threads on it around the place (have a look at a few other forums too).
This is by no means a complete list, but it's a start: Gearbox (duh), manual pedalbox, clutch pedal, clutch cable, clutch (duh), manual flywheel... That's all from memory, but I'm sure there is other stuff, so keep digging.
Good luck with it, post up and let us know how it goes. |

its all the usual **** plus you will need either a custom flywheel or if you already have a 6 bolt flywheel (manual ofcourse) then you will need a flywheel adapter
since there were 3 different crankshafts used it makes it quite difficult
the manual s1 is a 6 bolt flywheel the manual s2 and vp is an 8 bolt flywheel and the s1 autos are a 6 bolt crank thats different to the s1 manual 6 bolt and the s2 autos are an 8 bolt that is interchangable with the s2 manual flywheel
so to go from s1 auto to manual you need the 6 bolt crank adapter from www.rodshop.com.au it costs just over $300 then you still need to source a 6 bolt manual flywheel
to go s2 auto to manual you need the 8 bolt flywheel (very rare) but the rodshop also sell new ones for a pretty penny
thats it there is no going from 6 to 8 bolt adapters or vice versa
make sure you loctite all the flywheel and adapter bolts when you do it as its a bitch to have to pull it all apart to tighten them up cause the flywheel is rattling |

Are there any special tricks to it, or should I just follow the gregory's manual on how to get at it? Everytime I kill the engine in the car there is a nice loud knock or two come from the flywheel. Last time I got the clutch done, the pricks didn't loctite it, so she's started to come loose. |

a complete list is
crank adapter flywheel starter motor clutch cluth cable clutch pedal and box brake pedal gearbox belhousing and throw forks if not on box console speed sensor shifter tailshaft (yep they are different lenghts)
you will also need to rewire the neutral switch as so the ecu thinks its in park or neutral and will let you start it
you can buy complete kits (excluding the crank adapter) for around $1500 secondhand and they charge around $1700 to fit them |
