ok my vn needs some attention. i have been advised and also seen the leaks and bought a new valley cover gasket for my car. various people i have spoken to have told me not to attempt this as i may stuff up electrics, throttle controls blah blah blah.
i am keen in trying this out and replacing the part as i have changed 2 head gaskets.

is there any risks or things i should consider being EFI or leave it to the pros

thnx

Not hard at all buddy. If you are careful you should not have any worries. If you have a workshop manual just follow it and you will be fine. If you dont have a manual I would strongly recommend getting yourself one as you will find it very helpful.
If you feel confident enough to do the job go for it. Having changed head gaskets before you should not have a problem. What sort of car did you replace the head gankets on?

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

peice of cake m8! undo the bolts (8 of the top of my head) and lft of, just becarful though some times a bit of water or dirt will fall into the block when you lift, u will prolly find it is stuck on tight, use a rubber mallett and give it a little tappy tappy! if you do drop dirt or water/fuel whatever down there, make sure you do a oil and filter change pererably .

yeh its pretty straight forward.....easy as just make sure the gasket surfaces are clean and where the long skinny gaskets for the valley (the one on teh bak and front that seal in oil) have some good sealant on it (as will say in the book) other then that just take note on what was removed and where it goes and you should be right

good luck

ok done changed the valley cover gasket.
and service n the car feels like new. i went to the extra effort effort of cleaning out the complete t/b and inside of the valley cover ul never guess how much grease was clogged up in there.
tne vn's runing good now smooth n more responsive.
