Off the top of my head I couldn't tell you, but there is definately other threads on this forum with all the information you need. Have a click around and see what you can turn up.

I'm surprised the tacho wire doesn't work.

I highly doubt that they would use the same coloured wire for something different in such close proximity.

Give it a crack or alternatively pm VNSVLE- the blokes a gun when it comes to this stuff.

hi ok your problem is that the vns have a .5 volt signal for the tacho the monsta tachs use a 12volt signal! im sure that was the voltages. there are 2 ways around this but neather one you are going to like

1. get a .5 volt rated tach and then join it up to the brown wire everyone is telling you to

2. go get a signal amp and run the brown wire into that and then the green wire out to your tach

I had the same problem so just left the factory tacho in there

would another workaround be to open up the coil pack and find the power input for them or would that just give one constant output? not too familiar with coilpacks im new to this whole cars have computers thingy
