how much does a v6 weigh? as i have a engin here and need to get it on to a engin stand....but have no hoist...can i lift it with a few mates? only engin....no g-box
or i could strip it down to teh block (take top end off...heads....manifold...etc) and lift it up ....shold be light then
when i put it in a car ill use the engin crane but dont ave one atm
about 300kg! But I have done this with a few m8's, hurt like sh1t but it worked, get a couple of chains attached to the motor and 2x 2inch poles about 6ft long 4 or six m8s ( i had 4 and we were pissed as so..) tuck ya pucky valve in ya trousers and lift like fuc! maybe make a few pole stands so you can place the poles on rather than try to hole them up.... other wise a simple block and tackle m8!

OR i could hook something up with the trolley jack and try and make it so it will lift the engine that high..either way looks like im gonna have fun haha

but yeh im gonna take it out buy jacking car up really high....like high rise high haha then droop engine and somehow move it from under car. its a mission lol
on another note i have this engine (1990 series one) which has a good idle and has good compression (175 in each cylinder) but theres a guy up the road with a vn series 2 which starts etc fine and everything ...body is rat **** but engine has a very smooth idle and was just out of rego and still drives fine he wants 300....but yeh i dunno lol too many engines haha alls i want of it is the engin as i want to make one good engine so when mine finally decides to pack in (when ever that is.....its bullet proof) i have a good engin to put in
does anyone know how much a short motor weighs?? ive taken off the top end, and was going to scrap the rest. now im thinking i could use the bottom end for a project(i had nitrous in mind..Bahahaha) could 2 people pull out a short motor??
