Hi guys,

Last week some little $$$$'s stole my VN sedan from a so called secure carpark. It was recovered 2 days later. The problem I have now is how can I secure the car, so it wont happen again? As most of us know these model commodores are easy to knock off.

What they did was break the door lock and break the ignition barrel to take the car.

Would be interested in some good methods to stop the little $$$$'s from doing it again.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Full MEtal Jacket over the barrel and a nice clublock as a visual deterrant. Have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser fitted also as the next step.

There's a few good (and not so good) ideas here.

Depends on how much you want to spend. Solex locks, a full alarm/imobiliser and a steering lock would be a good start.

my vp senator has had the door locks removed by installing rear door handles in the front doors.
it also has a hidden kill switch and alarm/imobiliser installed.

if you have someone else install an alarm for you they will probably put the alarm module under the steering wheel where the panel is easy to open.

you want to put the alarm module somewhere else, even inside the kick pannel is a safer position
