Im looking to put on a set of pacemakers to my VN. Ive got a freind selling his wich are about 2 years old. Do any of you know if there would be any performance difference between those old ones and a brand new set? im saving myself around $600.00.

He is selling them to me for $250. But if there is any doubt that they wont perform as well as a brand new set then I wont buy them. Wot do ya reckon?

they should be fine. I mean pipe is pipe, no matter how old. So long as the havnt been dented or show evidence of servere corrosion, it should be fine, naturally haggle him down to 200 though, as you can pick up a brand new set for around 450. Also make sure they are the right type for your car. There are issues with differences b/w the auto and manual types.

Seems a fair price and that they are in good condition with no dents in them.

As long as the second hand ones aren't damaged or badly altered etc, they would perform just as good as a brand new set. Make sure you take gasket cost and postal cost into account...
