HI :)
I live in Newcastle NSW,
My 1st love is vintage motorcycles
My 2nd love is a 1961 ek holden ( been off the road for 5 years) so one day I'll finish her....the bikes keep getting in the way....
3rd love ......mmmmmmmm beer
etc
etc
somewhere at the bottom is working on cars.

Generaly, I spend 3k on a car every 3 or 4 years for the wife to drive it till it dies and then repeat the prosess :)
This time around I got a very tidy Lexcen (vn commodore) :D
$2750 .........stolen 4 days after I bought it, found the next day with only a broken 1/4 window and smashed ign switch..which was good news because to fix it only cost $50 in parts from the wreaker, and I got the car back in one piece, saving me another 3k...
I should mention that Im a locksmith. So the lock was no problem.
I had in fact fitted central locking to the car the day it was stolen lol..

Now, I dont like people stealing stuff I own, as most.. so I got on ebay and bought an alarm.. the translation from chinese to english is better than some Ive seen, and in alot of ways quite comical. Ive got a wiring diagram, and can work out the scematics of the alarm....

Ive decided the best spot for the alarm controler would be behind the center console. one of the things that made up my mind, is,, I cant work out how to remove it ! I cant even work out how to remove the radio without a pry bar.... any hints please.

Thanks Trizo found the screws, and pulled the console apart enough to get the alarm body in. Alarm install not finished....Its pay day = wife goes food shopping, and when she gets back, Im off for a beer with a mate.
While I had the console apart I changed the stock radio over to CD player..which was a job in itself..
One of the reasons I love my old EK..If you want to find something under the dash , you just stick your head up under it and have a look.

should have the alarm finished in the next arvo or 2.

No, they didnt catch the bugers, but if they come back, and I catch them. they are going to get a good look at the carpet in the boot.
