Hi all, a bit new to this but anyways, does any1 know if you can get the sump off a VN witout completely removing the engine? Got a nasty dint in mine that doesn't look too healthy.

As for ripping the sump off...I believe it's possible, you may need to drop the steering rack out though. And maybe pull the cross-member out, I can't remember exactly. When I find the info on it, I'll do a how-to for you. Keep your eyes on the how-to section of the forum, it'll appear there.

yep u can take the nuts of the mounts and then u get some big blocks of wood put them on the struts and the fender where the bolts are then u get a nice bit of steel and put that on the wood and a jack with a bit of chain and lift the front of the motor up it will only go as high as the throttle body or the wood that will give u the room u need to get the sump off? i know cos it worked for me at work cheers
