hey guys I have a series 1 vn v6. I was just trying to use the self diagnostics I bridged the two terminals turned the ignition on but engine light just kept flashing the same as it always does when it runs seems to just flicker idles rough when hot &seems to surge while driving also cuts out occasionally when hot . I recently changed the O2 sensor which improved my terrible fuel consumption slightly ,I get about 380kms from a tank any ideas what the most likely prob would be

Check out the CAS. Next time it dies when it's hot, pour some cold water over the biggest pulley on the front of the engine (down the bottom) and see how it goes.

Clean your t/b out, reset the IACV and see what happens.

Check your coil pack, leads, plugs too...they could all cause this/

As for the fuel consumption figure...if that 380km is around town, that's pretty good, if that's out on the open road then it's fairly bad.

changed ecu with one given to me by a friend now have no engine warning light flashing all the time i now get 450 KMs from a tank & power is a lot better
