Dyno tuning on a stock VN/VP V6 engine is a complete waste of time in my opinion.
If you'd just had a full sports exhaust, and custom cam package thrown at it then, yeah...throw it on the dyno. Otherwise, keep your car serviced properly. Use good oil in the engine (I like my Penrite), keep the tyre pressures harder than Holden specify (I run mine at 36psi), don't drive around in the day time with the headlights on (unless you're required to by law for some strange reason), don't use the a/c if you don't really need it. And most importantly, find which fuel gives you the best usage figures.
Just out of interest, how many l/100km do you use? |
