Has anyone heard about a problem with fuses on the VN's? The fuse which controls my brake lights and interior lights keeps blowing every 1-2 days. I was also at Pick'n'Pay less the other day and noticed on a lot of the VN's they have there that most had blown fuses too, and some had actually melted the surrounding plastic on the fuse box. Is this a common fault in the VN model? Please help as no brake lights makes for some dangerous driving.

Can't say I've ever experienced it... and after six years if it was common I'd think it would have happened by now.

Does the wiring at the globe look alright? Is the fuse holder clean?

Everything looks clean, perhaps it may be the wiring earthing out somewhere. Will take another look. Any other ideas please let me know.
Thanks.

I had a problem with my brake lights coming on every now and then and it was blowing fuses too but I replaced my stop light switch near the brake pedal and all is well,
My highbeam fuse also melted slightly onto the fuse box but all i did was change it and it's fine, i changed it to the mini fuse
