my 1990 light blue vn wagaon is sick. Lat nite on my way into brisbane i stopped for fuel at a local servo - everything was fine. chuked 15 bucks in drove off right as rain. picked up a few mates and headed back towards fortitude valley. then all of a sudden my engine started spluttering and carrying on whilst i was idling waiting for the lights to turn green on victoria bridge. i wacked it in neutral and reved the car - it still spluttered - then backfired then died showing me the engine warning light - 30 seconds later it turned over fine and i got off the bridge continuing my course and it done it again backfiring and spluttering. This happened 5 times last nite. When i was driving home the car was fine - i gave it maximum throttle and it seen the redline perfectly. I think i have either got one of two problems. i recieved a nasty 15 dollars worth of dirty fuel or my spark plugs are screwed. wat is going on can someone please help?
It sounds like fuel problems to me. I would be changing the fuel filter to start with and see how it goes. I have seen people getting their filter clogged from either water or crap which caused the same problem. It would probably also pay to drain the fuel tank and refill somewhere else. Is the servo you fueled up at your usual??
What's the difference between understeer and oversteer? Understeer is when the driver is scared. Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.
like vnsvle sed it sounds like fuel! rip the fuel filter of and replace have a go at ya fuel pump by starting the car you should hear the fuel pump engage! If thats no good have a llok at the coil m8 these little fcukers can do some silly sh1t! My next bet would be the cas but loook at tese options then get bak to us!
