the other issue is the electric windows were working but they decided to stop, we have checked the fuses and all the relays and thats not the problem, someone said the window regulator but that wouldnt stop all four windows from goin up and down

Have you checked the leads from the switches for power and follow it back till you find power working. Failing that trace the power from the fuse box it's a power drop out somewhere

There is a control module that I believe sits under your steering wheel.
Make sure that this is all plugged in and make sure there is power to it.
Cheers

What's the difference between understeer and oversteer?
Understeer is when the driver is scared.
Oversteer is when the passenger is scared.

Often your weakest link is the switch itself

had the same problem in the calais i wrecked to put all the good gear in the dunga wagon the black box under the steering wheel that vnsvle mentioned will be the culprit. easiest way to tel is to tap on it while using one of the window switches and also feel for the click when you try to use the switches im told its quite common for a soldered piece to let go and stop the power flow.

Save a dim sim fry tyres instead.
