Hi guys. Just wanted to confirm compatability before I start ripping my trans out. I have a vn Calais 1990 with a trans that slips badly in first and reverse. Also in the shed I have a built 4l60e with a stage three transgo shift kit that converts this box to full manual operation. I plan to bolt this in tomorrow, but recent research suggests that there maybe some complications with the series one. Looking under the car it looks like the only diff is the removable bottom part of the bell housing that bolts to the engine, but I'm assuming this can be removed and the full bellhousing of the 60e will take its place. Can anyone shed any light on if this is a bolt up fit or is there gonna be some dramas with exhaust clearance etc.
Thanks guys,
Ken.
