hello all long time no talk got a fast question for you all, my mate has a vr with the vn s2 motor and box, just wondering if the ecotec box would fit onto the s2 buick motor

You need the ecm from a VR to be able to control the transmission. As the VR had the series 2 buick engine as standard with the 4l60e behind it this should not be a difficult task.
Can I ask why you are wanting to??

they used different gearbox's the vn used a 4l60 and the vr and vs used a 4l60-e the only main difference i can see out of them is the vr and vs auto had the power button, I'm shore you would be able to use them on a vn engine
